Harmony Please

Nothing spices up a track like good backing vocals. Many well-known and talented singers started their careers in the studio doing backing vocals. This is exacting work, as it requires one to match pitch, timing, and voice tone and characteristics with a multitude of different kinds of singers. Backing vocals are usually done after the lead vocal has been tracked. An exception would be where very generic backing vocals were tracked, such as ahhh sounds or oo' sounds where no words are sung, just an extended drone type of part. Another exception would be a bee-bop type of adlib vocal where a pre-defined nonsense word, or repeating phrase is used and a lead singer just sings around the part anyway he chooses.

One complaint about karaoke tracks that we always hear is that the backing vocals are not good. Sometimes this is not because the singers were not of quality, merely that they didn't sing the way the performer did. With custom backing vocals, every effort will be made to create backing harmonies which follow and support your performance style.
